This study defined and created guidelines to define human and machine interaction for specific Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications based on AI Committee on Ethics (AICE). AICE includes a definition of ethics in AI, recommendations on a governance board that reviews and approves ethical considerations in AI, and recommendations on the regulation of ethics in AI.Research development included identifying a structure for AICE that considers AI applications, encompassing Level 5 autonomy, Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI), and Internet of Things (IOT). Examination of these applications involved a general outlook of the landscape, current and future, of these three AI applications and the associated ethical considerations Specifically, AICE ethical considerations for these AI applications were embedded in the structure to validate internally the governing of ethics. External validation outside of these AI applications was not researched.AI ethics is not intended to stifle innovation in development of new and existing AI applications, but to guide AI development while ensuring human consideration is factored into the AI application. Creation of ethical AI governance and oversight principles and guidelines can empower an organization to guide the development of AI applications through standardization that protects humans and machines during the transference of responsibility and accountability. Further, ethics principles provide additional perspective into risk mitigation and avoidance. To that end, this qualitative study proposes development of AICE by defining AI ethics in three areas: 1) Level 5 autonomy in electric vehicles, 2) artificial super intelligence (ASI) supply chain robotics, and 3) IOT traffic management devices.
