The adoption of a relevant worship style, particularly for the music ministry, has become a dominant force among ministries in North America targeting millennials and Generation Z. However, adopting a new worship style requires significant resources and effort, and therefore, should be done precisely and with proper guidance. The research goal of this doctoral thesis is to identify the effectiveness of relevant worship styles related to church growth strategies. The case studies aimed to identify the necessary factors for an effective worship ministry. To support the case studies with well-established church growth theory, Donald McGavran's Homogeneous Unit Principle and Gary McIntosh's Five Ministry Resources were used to measure the significance of the relevant worship ministries. According to the Homogeneous Unit Principle, ministries that identify and reach homogeneous groups are more successful in attracting and retaining members. By referring to this principle, this research measured how the worship ministry helped a church gain proximity to the target group. Similarly, using the Five Ministry Resources, the researcher measured how the worship ministry helped the church increase its ministry resources. McIntosh suggests that the five key resources for ministry growth are human resources, time resources, physical resources, financial resources, and leadership resources. This study examined two case studies to discover how worship ministries help church growth. This research builds on previous studies that have explored the relationship between worship and church growth. Overall, this research contributes to the existing body of literature on worship and church growth, providing practical insights into the effective implementation of relevant worship styles for ministry leaders.
