This dissertation examines the concept of Jesus' Sonship within the Gospel of John. The central argument asserts that the Gospel of John establishes the eternal Sonship of Jesus through His ontological equality with and filial subordination to the Father. These twin pillars of natural sonship characterize Jesus' eternal relationship with the Father. Further, the methodology utilized by those who attribute Jesus' Sonship exclusively to the eternal relations of origin ultimately leads to the concept of the Son's eternal subordination to His Father.
