This thesis has sought to explore Creative Practice in Dance as an important means of self realization and discovery, spiritual connection and healing.Utilizing the spiritual practice of prayer, along with music, dance, singing, acting and visual design as tools to process difficult life circumstances and emotions stemming from my youth in the social service system, my spiritual and artistic practices have been anchors that have enabled me to explore and develop my ever growing identity as an artist-performer-citizen.The process of constructing my thesis performance was rooted in utilizing intuition, prayer and an intimate reflection on the coursework that was conducted during my MFA journey. This reflection has led me to create an embodied thesis performance that resonates deeply with my personal history, and expresses my vision as a performing artist with a strong commitment towards utilizing my work as advocacy for social justice.

520 $a Esta tesis ha buscado explorar la practica creativa en la danza como un medio importante de autorrealizacion y descubrimiento, conexion espiritual y curacion.Utilizando la practica espiritual de la oracion, junto con la musica, la danza, el canto, la actuacion y el diseno visual como herramientas para procesar circunstancias dificiles de la vida y emociones derivadas de mi juventud en el sistema de servicio social, mis practicas espirituales y artisticas han sido anclas que me han permitido explorar y desarrollar mi identidad cada vez mayor como artista-interprete-ciudadano.El proceso de construccion de mi tesis se baso en la utilizacion de la intuicion, la oracion y una reflexion intima sobre el trabajo de curso que se llevo a cabo durante mi trayectoria en la Maestria en Bellas Artes. Esta reflexion me ha llevado a crear una performance de tesis encarnada que resuena profundamente con mi historia personal y expresa mi vision como artista escenica con un fuerte compromiso de utilizar mi trabajo como defensa de la justicia social.
