Thesis (Psy.D.)--The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, 2017.
Includes bibliographical references
This paper explores the possible connections between an eating disorder and insecure attachment. Research posits that ineffectual child-rearing, abuse, and similar traumas can cause eating disorders at the moment of conflict or later in life. This dissertation puts such arguments in context with the latest studies and offers methods to treat patients with similar disorders by designing a hands-on workshop for professionals within the field of psychology.
