The purpose of this quantitative correlational-predictive study was to determine if, and to what extent, the self-perceived factors of authentic leadership (i.e., self-awareness, relational transparency, balanced processing, & internal moral perspective), individually and combined, predicted self-perception of technology readiness of information technology managers, in the United States. Authentic leadership and technology readiness served as the foundational theories of the study. Data collection employed a convenience samplings strategy by means of an online survey. The sample included 112 information technology managers who, managed an information technology function, managed at least one employee, and were located within the United States. Multiple regression analysis was run to determine if, and to what extent, self-awareness, relational transparency, balanced processing, and internal moral perspective combined, or individually, predicted technological readiness. Authentic leadership statistically significantly predicted technology readiness of information technology managers, F(4, 107) = 4.445, p = .002, and self-awareness individually statistically significantly predicted technology readiness, p = .019. Relational transparency, balanced processing, and internal moral perspective individually did not statistically significantly predict technology readiness (relational transparency p = .336, balanced processing p = .130, and internal moral perspective p = .192). Future research may support or conflict with the findings of this study.
