本論文主要利用聚乙烯醇(polyvinyl alcohol)及聚丙烯酸(polyacrylic acid)以溶液澆注法製作共混膜,並將此共混膜應用於燃料電池之質子交換膜上。共混膜之性質及結構則由FTIR(Fourier electron microscopy)、X射線繞射儀(X-ray diffractometer)、差示掃瞄量熱計(Differential scanning calorimetry)以及掃瞄式電子顯微鏡(Scanning electron microscopy)來分析。當PAA的含量增加時,薄膜的結晶度會隨之下降,並且會使紅外光譜中的O-H鍵往高波數的方向漂移,造成氫鍵強度的減弱,而共混膜之機械強度會下降。當共混膜應用於燃料電池之質子交換膜時發現, PAA含量越高時,共混膜之離子導電度也會提高,當PAA含量為50時,其開路電壓值達0.6V。 Different ratios of PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) and PAA polyacrylic acid were prepared by solution casting method. The blending films were employed to be the proton exchange membranes in fuel cell in this study. The structures of proton exchange membranes were investigated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The crystallinity of the membranes was decreased and the O-H band in the infrared was shifted to higher wavenumbers as the ratio of PAA increased and resulted in the attenuation of the hydrogen bond between PAA and PVA chains. Herein, we also found that the mechanical strength of the blending film was decreased as the composition of PAA increased. The open-circuit voltage in the cell would be raised to 0.6 V as the content of PAA approached to 50
