The purpose of this quantitative, ordinal regression study was to predict the receptiveness of healthcare workers who have experienced stress, anxiety, or depression within the past five years to use a web-based mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) intervention. The study also focused on the statistically significant difference among the four generational cohorts' receptiveness to utilize web-based MBCT interventions for stress, anxiety, or depression; the percentage of participants most likely to use web-based MBCT at work, or at home, or both work and home; and the percentage of participants that were most likely to use a web-based MBCT therapy while at work, if their employer was not able to identify them. A Facebook posting was used to initiate the linear snowball sampling and resulted in 78 completed surveys. A Chi-square test for independence did not indicate a relationship between the independent variables of gender, education level, and ethnicity to the dependent variable, receptiveness to web-based therapy. Of the 78 participants in the sample, 7.7% participants would use MBCT while at work, 52.6% participants would use MBCT while at home, 33.3% would use MBCT both at home and at work, and 6.4% (5) participants would not use MBCT at home, at work, or both at home and work. There were 48.7% of participants most likely to use a web-based MBCT therapy while at work if their employer were not able to identify them. Of the combined age cohorts there were 26.9% of participants born between 1946--1964 that agreed they would use a web-based MBCT therapy, 25.6% of participants born between1946--1964 agreed they would use a web-based MBCT therapy, and 37.1% born 1981 or after would use a web-based MBCT. The outcome of this research has established workers in the sample had a positive attitude toward using web-based MBCT programs to help alleviate anxiety, stress, and depression. Future research may include an analysis of the attitudes and thoughts of healthcare employers since this researcher was unable to find a healthcare facility to allow this research.
