This study will explore online social networking use by AYA with cancer. While studies in the literature have examined the use of the Internet by adolescents and young adults with cancer for information seeking, few studies have been devoted to examining online social networking experiences of this population using social media. Additionally, literature describing social capital benefits of online social networking among this population is scarce.
