"Theatre Training in the Digital Age: Film Acting in Four-Year American Theatre and Film Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Fine Arts Programs" is centered on the contemporary forces that impact employment of acting majors today and the methods by which theatre and film undergraduate programs train their students for careers in the entertainment industry. Theatre and film professors who continued to work professional in the top ten American film production markets were asked twenty questions about how methods in their programs prepared acting students for employment. In this phenomenological study, the experts discussed topics ranging from actor training, internships, collaboration, grants, and alumni engagement to the development of technical skills behind the camera. The responses of these experts emphasized the need to incorporate the skills that digitally native students have to create content on campus and in the community during the undergraduate experience.
