[electronic resource] /edited by Paulina Golinska-Dawson, Frank Kübler. - 1st ed. 2018. - VIII, 179 p. 56 illus., 21 illus. in color.online resource. - EcoProduction, Environmental Issues in Logistics and Manufacturing,2193-4614. - EcoProduction, Environmental Issues in Logistics and Manufacturing,.
Sustainability in remanufacturing process – the challenges for its assessment -- The remanufacturing of the automotive components in Poland-development prospect -- Automotive parts remanufacturing - processes, problems and challenges. Case study on a Polish remanufacturing company -- Methodology for determining sustainable improvements’ potential in remanufacturing companies using RMC -- A Comparison of Neural Network and DOE Regression Analysis for Predicting Resource Consumption of Manufacturing Processes -- Sustainability assessment in remanufacturing companies – qualitative approach -- Sustainability Indicators System for Remanufacturing -- Determining the importance of the criteria for assessment of sustainability in remanufacturing companies -- The mixed method for sustainability assessment of remanufacturing process using Grey Decision Making -- Simulation modelling of remanufacturing process and sustainability assessment -- The roadmap for improving sustainability in remanufacturing operations.
The present customers’ consumption models result in an increasing number of used products that need to be collected and reused or disposed. Remanufacturing is a favourable scenario in order to recover the end-of-use products. It allows to capture substantial part of the resources which were used in the primary production at lower cost, providing economic, environmental and social benefits. The book presents the methods, models, case studies for improvement of sustainability in remanufacturing facilities. The focus is on small- and medium-sized enterprises and their challenges to meet resource-efficiency goal.
