General Knowledge -- Natural history of bone bruise -- Arthroscopic treatment vs open surgery in IA fractures.-The fixation principals of IA fractures -- Intraarticular fractures: Philosophy of the minimal invasive fixation -- Biologic solutions for cartilage healing.-Rehabilitation principals following a minimally invasive fixation -- Arthroscopic treatment vs open surgery in IA fractures -- Arthroscopic Management of Shoulder and Elbow Fractures -- Arthroscopic treatment of AC dislocations -- The arthroscopy assisted anatomical reconstruction of AC and CC ligament in chronic AC joint dislocation -- Distal clavicle fractures.-Glenoid fractures -- Arthroscopic treatment of greater tuberosity fractures of the proximal humerus -- Arthroscopy assisted reduction–internal fixation in greater and lesser humeral tuberosity fracture.-Arthroscopic assisted surgery of the distal humeral fractures -- Olecranon & radial head fractures -- Shoulder rehabilitation after minimal invasive surgery around shoulder joint -- Rehabilitation after minimally invasive fixation of elbow fractures -- Arthroscopic Management of Wrist Fractures -- Distal radius fractures.-Distal radius fractures with metaphyseal involvement.-Arthroscopic treatment of scaphoid fractures.-Carpal fractures other than the scaphoid -- Hand rehabilitation after minimally invasive fixation -- Arthroscopic Management of Pelvis and Hip Fractures -- Arthroscopic management of acetabular fractures -- Arthroscopic reduction and internal fixation of femoral head fractures.-The role of hip arthroscopy in the management of post traumatic hip arthritis -- Acetabular rim fractures associated with FAI -- Posterior acetabular rim fractures -- Arthroscopic Management of Knee Fractures -- Arthroscopy assisted retrograde femoral nailing of femoral shaft fracture -- Distal femur fractures -- Eminentia fractures.-Eminentia fractures - transquadricipital approach.-Knee soft tissue injuries combined with tibial plateau fractures -- Arthroscopic assisted surgical treatment of patellar fractures.-Arthroscopic management of knee fractures -- Articular cartilage injuries associated with patellar dislocation -- Arthroscopic Management of Ankle Fractures -- Arthroscopic assisted syndesmotic reduction in ankle fractures.-Minimally invasive fixation of complex intra-articular fractures of the distal tibial plafond.-Arthroscopically assisted external fixation of pilon fractures.-Treatment of tibia pilon fractures with the Ilizarov method.-Malleolar fractures - guidelines and tips for surgical fixation.-The role of arthroscopy in the management of fractures around the ankle.-Minimally invasive management of osteochondral defects to the talus.-Talus neck fractures -- Miscallenous -- Simulation training and asssessment in fracture treatment.-Return to play after IA fractures.
This superbly illustrated book is a comprehensive and detailed guide to the contemporary arthroscopic management of intraarticular fractures. The opening section addresses a variety of basic aspects and key issues, including the difficulties posed by intraarticular fractures, principles of fixation, cartilage healing, and rehabilitation. The minimally invasive surgical techniques appropriate to individual types of fracture are then fully described and depicted, covering fractures of the shoulder and elbow, wrist, pelvis and hip, knee, and ankle. Guidance is also provided on avoidance and management of complications and rehabilitation. The closing section addresses relevant miscellaneous issues, including arthroscopic management of temporomandibular joint fractures and extended indications for endoscopy-assisted fracture fixation. This volume will greatly assist both trainee and more experienced surgeons in selecting and executing arthroscopic techniques when treating patients with these complex fractures, which entail the risk of poor long-term function and further deterioration.
