Die Kopfverletzungskriterien CSDM und BRIC -- Der IIHS Small Overlap Crash und der NHTSA Oblique Crash -- Einfluss des Fahrzeugpulses auf die Brustbelastung -- Degressive Längsträger im Bauraum eines Serienfahrzeugs.
Martin Böhme untersucht, ob die rotationsbasierten Kopfverletzungskriterien BRIC und CSDM in Kombination mit Crashkonfigurationen mit geringer Überdeckung geeignet sind, das Kopfverletzungsrisiko in Realunfällen abzubilden. Die Ursachen für erhöhte CSDM-Werte und der Einfluss der Interaktion des Dummys mit dem Airbag werden ermittelt. Außerdem betrachtet er ein Vorderwagenkonzept zur Verringerung der Brustbelastung durch Anpassung der Längsträger. Dessen Potential weist Böhme in vier Fahrzeugen nach und stellt eine konstruktive Umsetzung unter den Randbedingungen eines Serienfahrzeugs vor. Die Feldrelevanz der erhöhten CSDM-Werte stellt er ebenso wie die phänomenologische Bewertung des Abrollens oder Abrutschens des Kopfes vom Airbag durch die Erkenntnisse infrage. Die Wirksamkeit des Vorderwagenkonzepts bei der Verringerung der Brustbelastung konnte er hingegen nachweisen.
