Das Buch vereint die Erfahrungen mit der Deckelung von Mieten im internationalen Kontext, um die Folgen einer solchen Entscheidung in Deutschland antizipieren zu können. Untersucht wird die Regulierung der Immobilienmärkte und ihrer Folgen sowohl analytisch anhand wissenschaftlicher Theorien als auch anhand empirischer Studien über ausgewählte Städte mit besonderer Immobilienpolitik im internationalen Umfeld.
