Sustainability, in the wide sense expressed by Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), is the centre of tomorrows' technical challenges. The volume highlights the research activities in the IFToMM world community that can contribute to reaching SDG targets. The 17 Goals, represent a road map, which can inspire the research on Mechanism and Machine Science. They are presented in a sequence of chapters: sustainable energy systems; appropriate technologies and technical systems for sustainable and inclusive development; biomechanical engineering; robotics and mechatronics; green tribology; micromachines; linkage and mechanical control; transportation machinery, engines and powertrains; rotordynamics, multibody dynamics and vibrations; history of mechanism and machine science, education. Any researcher who is interested in shaping his research activity considering its impact on building an inclusive, sustainable, and resilient future will find this book an extraordinary and up-to-date window on the latest findings in this area.
