With the rapid rise of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in the global financial market, accurately predicting their price fluctuations has become an important challenge in the field of financial technology. This paper aims to explore the application potential and effectiveness of a novel model combining Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm with Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) network—the PSO-LSTM model—in predicting Bitcoin prices. Using Bitcoin market data from January 1, 2015, to May 1, 2024, this paper predicts prices using the PSO-LSTM model and compares it with the traditional LSTM model. The study finds that the PSO-LSTM model outperforms the traditional model in terms of prediction accuracy, especially demonstrating its strong adaptability and reliability in handling prediction tasks under extreme market conditions. The research also discusses the potential applications in Bitcoin price data prediction, showcasing its extensive prospects..
