本創作研究中，開發了以知名的童話故事《小王子》為例子的「虛擬角色互動敘事系統」，使用動作捕捉技術在互動敘事系統中，以3D虛擬角色進行角色扮演。本創作旨在藉由角色扮演結合多人連線虛擬互動敘事系統來促進學習者的吸引力與自信，同時減少英語對話學習的焦慮。本系統由一、多人連線、二、動作捕捉與三、互動敘事系統組成。多人連線能夠讓說書人與觀眾進行語音對話，以及同步虛擬實境中的物件。動作捕捉技術來識別說書人的表情和動作，讓虛擬角色能夠將細緻的表情，透過多人連線的方式傳達給觀眾。互動敘事系統在客製化的虛擬實境中，能夠對物件進行雙向互動，參與者可以自由旋轉視角，對場地縮放來探索故事內容，還能根據故事的進度切換場地。右下角的介面顯示說書人的簡報或故事卡，讓參與者進行翻閱，且提供全螢幕縮放的功能。為了達到無所不在的學習，本系統以多平台的方式，參與者能透過平板電腦以觸控和語音對話與玩家進行雙向互動。即使沒有虛擬角色的使用者，可以利用網路資源輕鬆取得和製作VRM格式的角色。為了探討虛擬角色扮演在英語對話學習中的有效性，參加了2023通訊大賽聯網未來挑戰賽在賽後進行展覽。結合虎尾科技大學應用外語系的課程，發現虛擬角色扮演能夠促進學習者對外語對話的興趣。本研究貢獻了容易使用的程式碼，讓教材設計者創作屬於自己的互動敘事空間。.

520 3 $a In this research, I developed an "Interactive Storytelling System with Virtual Character", using the well-known fairy tale "The Little Prince" as an example. The system employs motion capture to role-play with 3D virtual characters in an interactive storytelling environment. The aim of this creation is to promote learners' appeal and confidence through role-playing, combined with a multiplayer online virtual interactive storytelling system, while also reducing the anxiety associated with foreign language conversational learning. The system consists of three main components: Multiplayer, Motion Capture, and Interactive Storytelling System. Multiplayer allows storyteller and audiences to engage in voice conversations and synchronize objects in a virtual reality environment. Motion capture technology identifies the storyteller's facial expressions and movements, allowing virtual characters to convey nuanced expressions to the audience through a multiplayer system. The interactive storytelling system operates in a customized virtual reality environment, allowing bidirectional interaction with objects. Participants can freely rotate their perspective and zoom in on the scene to explore the content of the story, and also switch scenes based on the story's progression. An interface in the lower right corner displays the storyteller’s slides or story cards, enabling participants to flip through and use the full-screen zoom feature. To achieve ubiquitous learning, this system is multi-platform, allowing participants to engage in bidirectional interactions with players via tablets using touch and voice dialogue. Even users without virtual characters can easily access and create VRM format characters using online resources. To explore the effectiveness of virtual character role-playing in foreign language conversational learning, this system participated in the 2023 Communication Competition Future Challenge and was exhibited afterwards. Collaborating with the Department of Applied Foreign Languages at National Formosa University, it was found that virtual character role-playing can promote learners' interest in foreign language conversations. This research contributes user-friendly code, enabling instructional designers to create their own interactive storytelling environment..
