Thesis (J.C.D.)--The Catholic University of America, 2024.
Includes bibliographical references
In the penal process, the accused possesses several rights in the law. While some of these rights are contained in the canons that spell out the substantive rights of the Christian faithful, others are in the canons on penal and procedural laws. They are substantially grounded in divine and natural law, and have been consistently espoused in the Church's magisterial teachings. Respect for these rights is an integral aspect of the Church's care for the common good.
