Hospitality markets have experienced a combination of rapid growth, complexity, and competition but have struggled more than other industries with innovation. The purpose of this quantitative correlational research was to test the resource-based view, implementation and absorptive capacity theories that relate data analytics capability to innovation strategy, and the moderation of structural and organizational readiness. The population was hospitality managers from various sectors. From 99 respondents, this researcher tested six research questions with correlation and regression analyses. (1.) The relationship between data analytics and innovation was positive, strong, and significant. (2.) Further, 70.8% of innovation variability was attributed to data analytics; however, structural readiness was an insignificant moderator between data analytics and innovation. (3.) Organizational readiness was an insignificant moderator between data analytics and innovation. (4.) The relationship between structural readiness and data analytics was strong, significant, and positive, and 70.9% of the variability was attributed to structural readiness. (5.) The relationship between organizational readiness and data analytics was strong, significant, and positive, and 63.7% of variability was attributed to organizational readiness. (6.) Organizational readiness failed to be a significant predictor of innovation unlike the other variables. Stronger analytical capabilities promoted innovation. Although the innovation variability from analytics was not contingent upon readiness, there was a significant relationship between readiness and analytics. The findings were consistent, overall, with the theoretical framework and literary themes.
