This correlational quantitative research aimed to test the theories of the demand-control model, effort-reward imbalance, and organizational injustice to address the problem of burnout of outpatient staff. The healthcare industry is a multifaceted industry consisting of outpatient clinics. While burnout is not new, the recent pandemic has shed more light on healthcare. Burnout increases staff turnover, medical errors, lower quality of care, and decreases patient satisfaction. Leaders are responsible for ensuring their patients' and staff's safety and satisfaction. Previous literature compared well-being dimensions with burnout independently; however, where the literature needed to improve was comparing the dimensions with burnout at once. This study utilized data from 92 surveys. Regression was run to determine the extent to which well-being dimensions predict burnout. Independently, the test demonstrated that three of the four dimensions proved statistically significant prediction of burnout. When multiple regression was run on all four dimensions and burnout, certain variables changed significance; however, feeling the job is a rewarding part of life remained statistically significant and had the highest prediction of burnout. Furthermore, three out of four dimensions returned a negative β, indicating that the variables are indirectly related and move in opposite directions. Recommendations for future research would be to focus on tasks that foster a culture where employees feel the job is rewarding. The desire is that the results of this study can be used as leaders continue to make change strategies and help improve the employees' lives, increase patients' experience and quality of care, and decrease medical errors.
