This research proposes innovative strategies to address the pressing issues of rising sea levels and coastal flooding, as well as the effects of thermal heat islands while promoting biodiversity growth in the Red Hook community. The biophysical conditions and imminent climatic, and environmental changes in Red Hook have caused significant damage and harm to the community, and designing effective strategies to combat these issues is contested. Red Hook has a history of social and spatial conflicts, making it even more important to approach space design in a multifaceted and reflexive way. The proposed strategies and landscape elements in my research are designed with a comprehensive and reflexive approach to address the complex and contested nature of space in urban sites like Red Hook.
