This master's project explored the ways in which group therapy conducted through a relational-cultural therapy (RCT) and narrative therapy theoretical lens may have a positive impact on the quality-of-life of individuals with endometriosis. Chapter I identified the barriers that individuals with endometriosis face in receiving timely and supportive healthcare for both physical and emotional symptoms. Chapter II explored the literature that exists on the subject of physical and mental health issues faced by women, the history of endometriosis, and the theoretical orientations that framed the design of the intervention. Chapter III proposed the application of a therapeutic group intervention with the goal of providing the support that endometriosis patients currently lack, as evidenced by the literature. Chapter IV discussed the strengths and limitations of the intervention, implications for counselors and therapists, and future research in the field.
