The People's Republic of China is stealing hundreds of billions of dollars worth of Intellectual Property (IP) and Trade Secrets from American companies. The Chinese government forces American companies doing business in China to begin technological transfers and joint ventures to allow access to the Chinese market. China is on a quest to become a world superpower and will conquer any obstacle in its way to achieve this goal as fast as possible. The Chinese government heavily relies on western countries like the United States for updated technological advancements and manufacturing machinery to help their economy grow at a faster pace. China has all the resources and means to create this technology independently. However, it would take them years to complete, which is why they have been stealing trade secrets and Itellectual Property and labeling it as their own. American and other multinational corporations need to be aware of China's tactics when doing business with a Chinese company or creating their own companies in the Chinese market. American companies also need to report all IP theft, trade secret theft, and network breaches by the Chinese, which helps the Department of Justice (DOJ) make their cases to Congress. By reporting the actions created by the Chinese, it allows the DOJ to help stop China from stealing IP and American companies' trade secrets.
