"Portals of Perception" delves into the fundamental question of what constitutes reality by utilizing virtual reality technology. The project comprises three levels: mindfulness, religion, and society, each of which addresses significant questions regarding their respective roles in culture, civilization, and human existence. The project takes its name from the portals that the user must go through to access each level. This innovative approach offers a unique perspective on the potential of virtual reality technology for exploring complex philosophical concepts. The thesis utilizes the autoethnographic methodology, in which the author meticulously documents their personal perception of reality and transforms it into an immersive VR experience. The project not only questions the nature of reality but also offers a profound understanding of the potential of virtual reality technology in facilitating an immersive exploration of complex philosophical concepts.
