Thesis (M.S.W.)--California State University, Sacramento, 2023.
Includes bibliographical references
This thesis examined the association between Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) and students' ability to transfer from a California junior college in a specified time range. The researchers collected quantitative measures via a Qualtrics online survey, which was voluntary and confidential. Participants were all undergraduate social work students, who were recruited using convenience sampling. The data was analyzed using SPSS and several Pearson's chi-square tests were conducted. While none of the associations analyzed were found to be statistically significant, the data showed that ACEs were highly prevalent in the undergraduate social work student body. Further research should be conducting surrounding ACEs and the impacts on academic performance.
