The elderly population faces several challenges as they grow older. This Clinical Scholarly Project aims to improve the Timed Up and Go (TUG) test performance among elderly individuals using the sit-to-stand exercise program. Previous studies and findings on the elderly population have demonstrated that regular exercise programs positively contribute to strengthening the body and maintaining mobility stability among the aging population. This project involved an experimental design in which 22 participants aged 65 years and older completed the project. The participants were selected through convenience sampling since the target participants were readily available at the adult day-care facility. The participants were engaged in an exercise program that involved a 10-minute sit-to-stand activity per session. The program took place twice a week for eight weeks. A TUG test performance was conducted to assess the impact or, rather, the effectiveness of the program. The findings demonstrated that incorporating the 10-minute sit-to-stand exercise activity positively affected the TUG test performance among the elderly participants/individuals with a t (29) = 5.103, p < .05.
