The purpose of this qualitative research study was to provide successful practices with leaders of the Airports Authority of Libya while they faced change resistance. The overarching research question was: How have leaders in the Airports Authority of Libya implemented change strategies? Semi-structured interviews were conducted, which involved asking open-ended questions to participants who were leaders within the Airports Authority of Libya. Interview participants included eight leaders who held positions with the organization for at least two years and experienced resistance during their tenure. Once the information was collected, the data was coded through repetitive processes by hand, producing primary themes and sub-themes. The 13 themes that resulted from the coding process were: (T1) department challenges; (T2) organizational goals; (T3) communication, cooperation, and collaboration; (T4) leadership flexibility and persuasion; (T5) overcoming resistance to change; (T6) trust in teams; (T7) technology and social media; (T8) pride in accomplishments; (T9) morals; (110) training: (T11) the leader's department is the most critical department; (T12) improving on strengths; and (T13) promptness and perfection. The key findings of the research study suggested that the leaders in the Airports Authority of Libya recognized methods that helped them overcome change resistance situations which consisted of using their skills of persuasion, relying on their strict practices of discipline, and training methods, developing solid teams they could trust, and recognizing the strengths within their members and the organization itself to build practices.
