In the field of Artificial Intelligence, the term agent refers to a computer program that is autonomous in making decisions working towards a goal. While goals are determined by the agent's external controller, it is up to the agent to devise a plan to achieve them. Planning becomes more complex as more factors are taken into account. Specifically, we consider an agent's behavior mode with respect to policy compliance as an additional factor. We utilize prior work in the field that defines these behavior modes and how they interact with an agent's policies to develop this proposed agent architecture. This novel architecture allows the controller of an agent to modify its behavior mode while it is executing a plan by utilizing this proposed Answer Set Prolog (ASP) framework for encoding information about the agent's domain and policies, and this proposed Python Component that manages the behavior mode modification process. We also introduce a Graphic User Interface (GUI) for users/controllers to easily interact with an agent under this proposed architecture in a benchmark dynamic domain. This work is evaluated by the correctness of plans generated under this proposed architecture, as well as the usability and understandability of the proposed GUI.
