This study explores the relationship between video game playing among senior adults and cognitive performance, focusing on game frequency, duration, education level, and leisure activities. Participants aged 60 and above completed cognitive assessments and reported their gaming habits. Results showed age as a significant predictor of cognitive performance, while the impact of gaming habits varied. Contrary to expectations, neither gaming frequency nor duration substantially predicted cognitive performance. Education level and engagement in leisure activities marginally influenced cognitive performance, with age remaining the primary predictor. These findings highlight the complex interplay between gaming habits, age, education level, and leisure activities in shaping cognitive abilities. Further research is needed to understand these relationships and develop interventions for promoting cognitive health across the lifespan.
