With the increasing use of mobile devices and the Internet of Things, it is crucial to address the role of users in cybersecurity. While organizations invest in security measures, users remain the weakest link. This study aims to contribute to developing strategies that can enhance security awareness among mobile device users. The study's purpose is to evaluate the relationship between mobile platforms and security behaviors, explicitly focusing on the impact of iPhone and Android usage. The guiding theoretical framework for this study is the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). TAM allows for understanding how users perceive mobile technology's ease of use and usefulness. Data was collected using an online survey using the Human Aspects of Information Security Questionnaire (HAIS-Q) administered to mobile device users. The survey assessed participants' security awareness behaviors and their preferences regarding mobile platforms. The study employed a quantitative, non-experimental correlation design and utilized an online survey as the research methodology. Data analysis was completed using the Pearson Point-Biserial correlation to determine the relationship between iPhone and Android users. This study found no statistically significant relationship between iPhone and Android security awareness attitudes, behaviors, or knowledge. The potential implications of the study's findings can inform organizations about the significance of increasing security awareness among mobile device users. By identifying specific challenges and vulnerabilities, organizations can develop targeted security strategies. The study's recommendations for future research include comparing security awareness and behaviors across different industries, investigating the impact of security incidents on users' behaviors, and exploring the effectiveness of educational interventions in enhancing security behaviors. Organizations should prioritize increasing security awareness among mobile device users to enhance overall security.
