Introduction -- Theoretical Foundations -- Selected Case Study and Exemplary Brief Analysis of Consulting Practice -- Recommendations for Companies on Dealing with Dark Personalities -- Critical Reflection and Conclusion.
Narcissism is considered a widespread phenomenon at leadership levels, significantly overrepresented compared to the rest of the population. Furthermore, younger emerging (leadership) talents exhibit markedly higher levels of narcissism than older generations have thus far. At the same time, traits of the Dark Triad (narcissism, machiavellianism, and psychopathy) typically do not occur in isolation but rather in combination. For this reason, companies should reassess their personnel selection, management, and development today. The characteristics and behavioral patterns of ruthless individuals within the Dark Triad will therefore be examined, along with possible approaches to intervention and prevention. The Content Antisocial (Leadership) Behavior Concept of the Dark Triad: Personality Traits and Behaviors Organizational Consequences and Impacts Exemplary Case Analysis (Short Analysis) from Practice Recommendations for Dealing with Dark Personalities Target Groups Business and Social Sciences, (Business) Psychology Practitioners from Human Resources, Education, Management/Leadership, Training/Coaching, Entrepreneurs, and Affected Individuals The Author Prof. Dr. Karin Meyer, MBA, M.Sc., M.Sc. is a professor for Management and Business Psychology at Deutsche Hochschule (DHAW), as well as a self-employed consultant/trainer and coach. The translation was done with the help of artificial intelligence. A subsequent human revision was done primarily in terms of content. This book is a translation of an original German edition. The translation was done with the help of artificial intelligence (machine translation by the service DeepL.com). A subsequent human revision was done primarily in terms of content, so that the book will read stylistically differently from a conventional translation.
