Human leadership for humane technology
the new AI : agency ignited /[electronic resource] :by Cornelia C. Walther. - Cham :Springer Nature Switzerland :2024. - xxiii, 339 p. :ill. (chiefly color), digital ;24 cm.
Chapter 1: WHY: The Perspective: POZE - A multidisciplinary framework of life -- Chapter 2: WHERE: Humans, Technology and Humane technology -- Chapter 3: WHO: Human perspectives on humane technology -- Chapter 4: WHAT: Optimizing natural and artificial assets to thrive in a hybrid society.
This book explores the relationship of natural and artificial intelligence in our rapidly evolving world. It does so anchored in an innovative multidisciplinary framework and the premise that society is a composition of multiple dimensions, with individuals (micro), communities (meso), countries (macro) and planet (meta) in the collective sphere, and individuals themselves as multidimensional beings (aspirations, emotions, thoughts, sensations) This perspective is applied to analyze the implications of our transition into a phase where online and offline realms are increasingly intertwined. Special attention is given to the influence of all pervasive technology on our perception of the self and society. The central message is that we must learn to harness Agency amid AI, which entails double literacy - of artificial and natural intelligence. Cornelia C. Walther, combines praxis and research. Being presently a Senior Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania, US; she has been working over two decades with the United Nations in large scale emergencies in West Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean. As lecturer and researcher, she collaborates with various universities worldwide. Human Leadership for Humane Technologyis her sixth book.
