Global warming is caused by the increasing production of energy from fossil fuels, which increases the effect of carbon dioxide, thereby causing the Earth's surface temperature to rise. This causes a variety of environmental problems and is becoming a serious issue affecting human life through the destruction of ecosystems. In Europe, electricity generation from renewable-energy sources is increasing, with some countries using more renewable-energy sources than fossil fuels. However, renewable-energy sources are limited by the difficulties in controlling energy flows. Although European countries are addressing the uncertainty of electricity generation by sharing grids, East Asian countries are still largely coal-fired and must address the uncertainty of renewable sources. Early research explored Power-to-X energy storage to mitigate the variability of renewable sources; however, the current research addresses this issue by considering both electricity production and consumption.To address the variability of offshore wind farms, which can produce large amounts of renewable energy, and reduce the uncertainty of grid operation, this study derives an analysis method to minimize the variability of the renewable-energy power supplied to the grid through statistical analysis. The economic feasibility of the power variability was evaluated in conjunction with Power-to-X systems. For comparison, the most common alkaline water electrolysis system and a system combined with a lithium-ion battery were evaluated.A statistical approach was derived to enable the combined analysis of large wind farms. With a probability of 99.7 %, the variability of offshore wind farms could not exceed 22% for offshore wind-power generation. This study proposed that 78% of the wind power generated by grid-connected offshore wind turbines will be used by the grid and 22% will be accepted by the Power-to-X system. In the proposed operation, the benefit of the combined system was based on the utilization of the alkaline water electrolysis system, as it was determined by the amount of hydrogen produced at a fixed investment cost.The results show that the success of Power-to-X systems depends on the effective utilization of the core technology and water electrolysis systems; however, reductions in fixed-capital costs are also required. The economics of methane, methanol, ammonia, and hydrocarbon-based products that can be used in conjunction with existing industries that utilize the hydrogen produced are also determined by the amount of hydrogen fed into the process. Policy support, such as increasing the social cost of carbon, must also be considered to ensure competitiveness with existing industries. The statistical analysis concluded that improving the operation of wind-based renewable energy, increasing the use of water electrolysis systems, and establishing accompanying institutional policy support are important factors in the establishment of renewable-energy-based power generation.These findings are invaluable for academic and industrial stakeholders in making informed decisions and fostering the green hydrogen sector in South Korea.

Dies verursacht eine Vielzahl von Umweltproblemen und wird durch die Zerstorung von Okosystemen zu einem ernsten Problem, das das menschliche Leben beeintrachtigt. In Europa nimmt die Stromerzeugung aus erneuerbaren Energiequellen zu, und in einigen Landern werden mehr erneuerbare Energiequellen als fossile Brennstoffe genutzt. Die erneuerbaren Energiequellen sind jedoch durch die Schwierigkeiten bei der Kontrolle der Energiestrome begrenzt. Wahrend die europaischen Lander der Unsicherheit bei der Stromerzeugung durch die gemeinsame Nutzung von Stromnetzen begegnen, wird in den ostasiatischen Landern immer noch uberwiegend Kohle verfeuert, und sie mussen sich mit der Unsicherheit bei den erneuerbaren Energiequellen auseinandersetzen. Die wirtschaftliche Machbarkeit der Leistungsvariabilitat wurde in Verbindung mit Power-to-X-Systemen bewertet. Zum Vergleich wurden das gebrauchlichste alkalische Wasserelektrolysesystem und ein mit einer Lithium-Ionen-Batterie kombiniertes System bewertet.Es wurde ein statistischer Ansatz abgeleitet, der eine kombinierte Analyse von grosen Windparks ermoglicht. Mit einer Wahrscheinlichkeit von 99,7 % konnte die Variabilitat von Offshore-Windparks 22 % fur die Offshore-Windstromerzeugung nicht uberschreiten. In dieser Studie wird vorgeschlagen, dass 78 % des von netzgekoppelten Offshore-Windkraftanlagen erzeugten Windstroms vom Netz genutzt und 22 % vom Power-to-X-System abgenommen werden. Bei dem vorgeschlagenen Betrieb basierte der Nutzen des kombinierten Systems auf der Nutzung des alkalischen Wasserelektrolysesystems, da er durch die Menge des produzierten Wasserstoffs bei festen Investitionskosten bestimmt wurde.Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass der Erfolg von Power-to-X-Systemen von der effektiven Nutzung der Kerntechnologie und der Wasserelektrolyse-Systeme abhangt, aber auch eine Senkung der Fixkapitalkosten erforderlich ist. Die Wirtschaftlichkeit von Methan, Methanol, Ammoniak und Produkten auf Kohlenwasserstoffbasis, die in Verbindung mit bestehenden Industrien, die den erzeugten Wasserstoff nutzen, verwendet werden konnen, hangt auch von der Menge des in den Prozess eingespeisten Wasserstoffs ab. Politische Unterstutzung, wie z. B. die Erhohung der sozialen Kosten von Kohlenstoff, muss ebenfalls in Betracht gezogen werden, um die Wettbewerbsfahigkeit mit bestehenden Industrien zu gewahrleisten.Die statistische Analyse kam zu dem Schluss, dass die Verbesserung des Betriebs von windbasierten erneuerbaren Energien, der verstarkte Einsatz von Wasserelektrolyse-Systemen und die Schaffung einer begleitenden institutionellen politischen Unterstutzung wichtige Faktoren fur die Etablierung der Stromerzeugung aus erneuerbaren Energien sind.Diese Ergebnisse sind fur akademische und industrielle Akteure von unschatzbarem Wert, um fundierte Entscheidungen zu treffen und den grunen Wasserstoffsektor in Sudkorea voranzutreiben.
