Modeling and analysis of longitudinal labor market social networks -- Various Hybridizations of Ant Colony Optimization for Workforce Planning -- Complete Pareto Front of the Minimal Length Maximal Capacity Shortest Path Problem -- A proportion of visibility polygon's surface to the entire polygon's surface A lower bound of the proportion derived for polygons of any shape and orthogonal polygons -- Confidence-Interval Elliptic Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets to Franchisor Selection -- A Software Solution for Package Delivery Optimization in Courier Business Using an Elliptic Intuitionistic Fuzzy Knapsack Problem -- An Optimization Approach for Sensitivity Analysis of UNI-DEM Framework -- A brief note on optimizing resource allocation: How many parallel working units do we need to maximize the probability that at least one of them will complete the task? -- Scalability and Sensitivity Studies of a Large Air Pollution Model by Using the EuroHPC Supercomputer "Discoverer" in Bulgaria.
This book presents recent advances in computational optimization. The book includes important real problems like modelling of physical processes, workforce planning problem, transportation problems, machine scheduling, air pollution modelling, optimization of fast-food restaurant chain, solving engineering, and financial problems. Our everyday life is unthinkable without optimization. We try to minimize our effort and maximize the achieved profit. Many real-world and industrial problems arising in engineering, economics, medicine, and other domains can be formulated as optimization tasks. The book is a comprehensive collection of extended contributions from the Workshops on Computational Optimization 2023. It shows how to develop algorithms for them based on new intelligent methods like evolutionary computations, ant colony optimization, constrain programming Monte Carlo method, and others. This research demonstrates how some real-world problems arising in engineering, economics, and other domains can be formulated as optimization problems.
