Analyses the representation of artificially intelligent entities in Hollywood film - The first full length study of representations of artificial intelligence in film - Covers the full range of AI film from its first emergence in the 1950s - Includes Hollywood film and international film - Explores which aspects of AI science fascinate filmmakers - Identifies the key themes and tropes of AI film AI in the Movies analyses film representations of artificial intelligence, from their first emergence in the 1950s up to 2020.
