This study of job readiness training programs in Wisconsin utilized a qualitative case study methodology focusing on lessons learned from participants. The researcher conducted semi-structured interviews using guiding interview questions. Data was recorded, transcribed verbatim, and analyzed into meaning units and themes. The purpose of the study was to give voice to participants of job readiness training programs to uncover lesson learned from their experience. Results of the study revealed six themes; Life Commitment & Challenges, Time / Life Management, Emotions, Interactions / Support, Locus of Control, and Program / Expectations. The study highlights Social Learning Theories, Happenstance Theory and Positive Psychology -- Broaden and Build Theory of Positive Emotions.
