The Walking Dead was the most tweeted about show in 2014 and 2015, signifying that the show has one of the largest presences on the social networking site Twitter. In order to analyze the online community among fans of the show on Twitter, qualitative interviews were conducted and a content analysis of tweets sent during season six of the show was completed. In addition, the same research material was examined to determine why the show is so popular on Twitter. The results established that the show is popular on Twitter because of the comic books the show is based on, the ability to media marathon the show, the quality of The Walking Dead, the after show Talking Dead, and the AMC network.
