During the past decade, social media emerged and quickly proved their power in different areas. They altered means of communication between governmental, corporate, educational and social entities at institutional and individual levels. They also played a role in connecting communities nationally, internationally and from within. The influence of social media is mostly apparent on the millennial generation, who are the experts of new communication technologies. YouTube, a video based platform became strongly powerful as it invaded the business models of media and advertising companies. It also empowered individuals to express themselves in creative ways, and enabled others to become social influencers when their videos had wider public reach. This research was framed on Public Sphere and social influence theory in order to examine the content of young, influential YouTubers in Saudi Arabia, who became active figures in virtual YouTube and in the Saudi society.

520 $a Youth in Saudi Arabia face many challenges at home, school and in society. They have been marginalized and lack essential facilities for youth's wellbeing. Through qualitative content analysis, this research investigated 218 videos coming from La Yekthar, 3al6ayer and EyshElly channels. The researcher inductively analyzed data via constant comparison and descriptive discourse analyses of what and how influential Saudi YouTubers present and address issues in their videos, what aspects distinguished each YouTuber from others, the public sentiments about these YouTubers, and the common criteria that existed in popular videos of these YouTubers. Findings showed young Saudi YouTubers are highly concerned about various aspects related to Saudi society, including social issues, violence, and media. Findings also demonstrated that despite addressing various issues in the Saudi society, each YouTuber approached these issues in a unique manner. The three Saudi YouTubers resorted to comedy in criticism through various and different communicative styles. Findings revealed high public engagement with the content of Saudi YouTubers, and most of it was positive. Results also showed YouTubers addressed some common topics, including entertainment, government, and violence. Saudi YouTubers also overcame challenges and were able to advance their media careers and successfully use YouTube.
