The International Conference on Control Engineering and Mechanical Design (CEMD2017) is a leading annual conference for all researchers in China and abroad. Along with an exciting exhibition, CEMD2017 was held in Xiamen, China, October 20-22, 2017. Control engineering or control systems engineering is the engineering discipline that applies control theory to design systems with desired behaviors. Mechanical engineering is the discipline that applies the principles of engineering, physics, and materials science for the design, analysis, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. It is the branch of engineering that involves the design, production, and operation of machinery. It is one of the oldest and broadest of the engineering disciplines.
