Augmented reality has come a long way in the past decades in the manner of reduced costs and increased reliability. Despite these developments, there is still a difficulty bridging the gap between practical use and pure theory. This work explores if the current state of augmented reality is at a stage that can be utilized to implement solutions for heavy machinery maintenance routines by exploring the quality of education from augmented reality applications, capturing said maintenance routines for our own system, then replicating them in an augmented reality application with consumer grade equipment.
