Challenging dilemmas in recent years, including corporate financial scandals, consistent failures, and shady practices by senior executives, have renewed the need for understanding authenticity and authentic leadership and its impact on trust and employee job satisfaction (Mason, 2019). Authentic leadership is a voice for developing responsible leadership in the post-Enron era by employing ethical decision-making practices from the viewpoint of executive leadership in an organizational setting (Novicevic et al., 2006). The basic tenet of authenticity is for leaders to be true to themselves and others (Gardner et al., 2011; Gino et al., 2020; Luthans & Avolio, 2003). Authentic leadership and social exchange theories were theoretical frameworks for understanding the research. The quantitative research, with the use of confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and structural equation modeling (SEM), aimed to identify the statistical relationship, if any, between authentic leadership among senior management and employee trust and job satisfaction in multinational enterprises (MNEs) in the retail sector in the United States (U.S.).The survey was based on the authentic leadership questionnaire (ALQ), the trust in management (TIM), the job description index (JDI), or job in general (JIG) scales to address the research questions. The study utilized 224 participants to measure statistical inference in the relationship between the three primary constructs. The finding signified a positive and significant relationship between all the variables, strongly recommending that senior-level management in U.S. MNEs in the retail industry sector consider the study's findings to restore confidence in leadership.
