Academic, professional, and community discourse regarding sex, sexuality, and gender terminology remains disorganized and permeated by misunderstanding and disagreement on gender's organization, makeup, meaning, and referent(s). People reference gender as a broad or specific term, as one or many identities, and often confound gender with sex and sexuality (Geist et al., 2017). The impacts result in inadequate (a) gender conceptualizations, (b) models, and (c) gender citizenship. Many models and assessments (a) lack the inclusion of the interdisciplinary-revealed gender components and domains, (b) presume that identity refers to the one they discuss, (c) lack validation of the model's accuracy for reflecting participants' gender, or (d) do not evaluate the impact on the participants' gender. The Gender Mosaic-Matrix Component-Domain (GMM-CD) model integrated and expanded on existing models to holistically and atomistically conceptualize, organize, and measure gender. The enhanced survey instrument provided users with a gender-reflection, self-assessment to be used as a reflexive agent. It gained from users their assessment of the GMM-CD model's accuracy as well as impact on understanding their own and others' gender-the study's aim. "Gender-extensive" participants took the survey's 91-questions which included screening, demographics, pre-test, gender/sex/sexuality, gender profile matrix, post-test, model/survey impacts and accuracy assessments, comments, followed by exit questions. The gender measures included (a) femininity/masculinity/change scales (F/M/C), (b) matrix component and domain priorities, and (c) labels (gender and pronouns). Data provided information that answered the study's research questions on accuracy and impact. Most participants explicitly rated the GMM-CD valid and accurate, with the gender label options (GLO) the most, and F/M scales the least, accurate. Implicit calculations contradicted ratings, as the paired FM variable was from 56% to 88% predictive of GLO. The survey impacted participants mostly by changing their own gender profile, through their F/M ratings, and by increasing their understanding of others' gender profile. Two major sociodemographic groups showed differences in impact but not accuracy ratings. Inadequate sociodemographic representation was a limitation. The GMM-CD model/survey showed promise as an interventional tool to promote (a) reflective and cognitive skills, (b) educational and research knowledge, and (c) understanding gender-extensive people, especially those in minorities and marginalized communities.
