Distributed ledger technology is an innovative technology that offers the potential to revolutionize numerous financial sector functions, including trade settlement, clearing and execution, and anti-money laundering and know-your-customer protocols. The technology may increase procedural efficiencies, while also reducing costs and certain operational redundancies.
