Parasitic architecture --- commonly defined as structures built from existing unused or wasted space --- is an opportunity to explore solutions for lack of affordable housing. Lack of affordable housing is one of the main contributors to homelessness, an experience that is often stigmatized. This paper explores whether parasitic architecture and behavior change models can be employed in design to change negative perceptions about homelessness.
