The Asian-Canadian diaspora has grown exponentially within the last few years, resulting in cultural diversions, specifically for immigrant adolescents forming their identities. With the many educational resources available, access to Asian ethnic studies for secondary school immigrants is not evident in the Ontario school curriculum. Evidence of past staged performances, ranging from traditional dance performances to Asian performances on screen and stage, exemplifies theatre and performance as a significant resource in performing cultural expression. Supported by many researchers' theatre and play introduce new ways of learning. As a result, I have created a study guide and curriculum for secondary teachers to represent and welcome Asian diversity into the classroom.
