The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between students' academic performance and their involvement in interscholastic sports or extracurricular activities. There is considerable research done that suggests a correlation between students' participation in interscholastic sports and extracurricular clubs. This study also examines the various mental and social-emotional benefits that are associated with Physical Activity (PA) throughout the school day. Finally, this study examines the struggles that students with disabilities, at-risk students, and students coming from low socioeconomic backgrounds face with the accessibility of interscholastic books and clubs. The research concludes with further implementation strategies that schools could adopt as well as further research that could lead to increased awareness of the relationship between sports and club participation and students' academic success.
