Self and peer assessment are two alternative formative techniques that allow the students to take more ownership over their learning process. Providing teachers also with a way not only to keep track of the students' progress, but to mitigate the impact that large classes generate; creating the teachers by default to neglect the attention that the students might need. These alternatives can promote autonomy and a culture of fellowship when students help their peers. Pros and cons are going to be presented in order to consider both of the techniques in a language class or in any class in the educational system. With self and peer assessment presented in the project the teachers will have a general knowledge about the topic and guidelines with suggested steps to use in the classroom. Creating a base that can be use and modify according to the group of students they are teaching to.
