In Mandarin Chinese, there is a difference between monosyllabic action verbs'semes and their disyllabic counterparts, which corresponds to different registers. Thiscorrespondence between semantic units and register functions includes three models:the "difference" model, the "distance" model, and the "type" model. The abovemodels are derived by "Form-Function Correspondence Principle" of registergrammar and prove this principle from the perspective of semantics in turn.Firstly, semes of a certain action verb are structurally related, implying that thesystem of semes is also a grammar system. By constructing semantic fields andminimal pairs of monosyllabic and disyllabic action verbs, and comparing theirsemes based on argument structures, we can get a set of semes of monosyllabic verbsand disyllabic verbs respectively, and a set of shared semes as well. These twoconcepts are operational, which provide tools for observing register functions ofsemantic units.Secondly, comparing the difference between these two seme sets, we can findthat if an action has a scientific procedure or a serious attitude, it corresponds to theformal register. On the contrary, it corresponds to the informal register. Comparingsemes of different properties, we can find that instruments of an action with differentdistances between core action semes correspond to different communications andhave different register functions. The instruments of monosyllabic action verbs arerelatively near to core action semes, corresponding to concrete communication andinformal register. The instruments of disyllabic action verbs have a relatively long distance between core action semes, corresponding to abstract communication andformal register. Comparing semes which share the same property but are different intypes, the differences in volume and size correspond to different register functions.Monosyllabic action verbs select "small" semantic types, which correspond toinformal register, while disyllabic ones select "large" semantic types, whichcorrespond to formal register. Beneath these three correspondences, there is auniversal principle, namely "Form-Function Correspondence Principle". Theconclusions of this dissertation expand the theoretical application space of the"Form-Function Correspondence Principle" from a perspective of semantics.Finally, the correspondence between semantic and register predicts the existenceof "absent" monosyllabic action verbs in Mandarin Chinese. This kind of actionverbs do not have disyllabic counterparts, and the semantic of such verbs can not bespatio-temporal abstract. Therefore, their register function is strictly limited toinformal. This kind of phenomenon supports the correspondence between semes andregisters.

520 $a 現代漢語中，單雙音節動作動詞的義素不同，語體不同。義素和語體的對應關係包含三種模式，即：差值別體、距離別體和類型別體。上述三類對應關係是語體語法中"形式-功能對應律"運作的結果。首先，一個動詞的義素之間的關係是有法則性的。通過構建語義場和最小對比對，並根據論元結構進行比較，可以得到義素合、義素積這兩個操作性的概念，它們為觀察義素的語體功能提供了工具。其次，從義素合與義素積的差值來看，動作具有嚴謹科學的程序、實施動作的態度嚴肅，對應著正式體。反之則對應非正式體。從義素積中不同性質的義素看，不同的工具義素，對應不同的交際時空，具有不同的語體功能。單音節動作動詞的工具義素距離動作核心相對較近，對應非正式的語體功能。雙音節動作動詞的工具義素則距離動作核心義素相對較遠，對應泛化的交際時空和正式的語體功能。從義素積中同性質但類型不同的義素看，義素在分量和體積上的大小差異具有語體功能。單音節動作動詞選擇分量、體積的小，義素類型的小對應非正式體；雙音節選擇分量、體積的大，義素類型的大對應正式體。這些對應關係的背後，是具有普遍性的"形式-功能對應律"在發揮作用，也進一步拓展了"形式-功能對應律"的理論適用空間。最後，義素與語體對應關係預測了現代漢語中的缺位式單音節動作動詞的存在。這類動詞沒有對應的雙音節形式，它們的義素不具備時空泛化的可能，語體功能被嚴格限定在非正式體中。這類現象支持了義素和語體的對應關係。
