This research sees a general overview of the development of new media art and an exploration of its existing examples, leading to the shaping of virtual art into an artistic trend. This development of new media is a soft revolution in art characterized by decentralization and plurality. While critics and observers have pointed to the potential aesthetic upheaval of contemporaneity and the risk of loosening of modern design values in NFT arts, this research still offers a positive, best case assessment for exploring the future of visual culture in virtual art and the the evolution of narratives in new media art. In the context of new media art and contemporary art criticism, "decentralization" is, on the one hand, a path to diversify the creation and circulation of art, and on the other hand, a methodology of contemporary art philosophy and cultural criticism.
