This project created a social/emotional curriculum for Montessori primary environments. Lessons were developed from such sources as training in positive discipline, personal classroom experience, non-violent communication classes and progressive permaculture communities. Feedback was obtained from local teachers using a survey, and three expert educators were interviewed for further mentoring on the subject of classroom management and developmentally appropriate behavior expectations in the context of authentic, rigorous Montessori practice. Improvements were made to the curriculum, and further lessons were developed and posted in a free, online forum: http://harmonymontessori.weebly.com/ .
